I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
